Welcome to NATURE'S ART...
Nature's
Art has been creating and selling exclusive hand-crafted Ammolite 'art'
pieces for over a decade from our private Southern-Alberta workshop. Due
to an increasing demand for our work, we are now developing new
relationships with select retail channels within Canada.
We
hand prospect, stabilize, refine, polish, cut, finish and set natural
Ammolite to create truly outstanding hand-crafted Ammolite jewelry and
'touch' pieces from raw material, which is an arduous, time consuming
and delicate process.
About AMMOLITE...
Ammolite
is a gemstone that is found as part of the mineralized fossil remains
of Ammonites - sea creatures from over 65 million years ago. Ammonites
were large, spiral-shaped creatures, and what is known as Ammolite is
the mineralized gemstone that the outer shell became over time. It is
also called “Alberta’s Gemstone”.
It is called the rarest
gemstone on earth due to both the extremely limited supply (it can be
found in only 1 area on Earth), and the fact that much of what is
discovered is destroyed beyond recovery during the process of working
with it. The mining, stabilizing, refining, cutting, polishing,
finishing, and setting of Ammolite is an arduous and painstaking
process, and it can be damaged irreparably during any of these steps.
The true mark of any
quality Ammolite, regardless of the constantly changing grading
systems, is its appearance of being lit from within.
